Leprechaun

Origin and tradition

The leprechaun is a solitary fairy of Irish tradition, often portrayed as a shoemaker. Tales of capture, trickery, and hidden wealth helped shape its popular identity. The green-clad mascot of modern advertising is a later simplification of the older storytelling figure.
