Reader Privacy

Privacy Policy

This policy explains what data may be collected when readers use the atlas, especially if analytics or advertising are enabled.

Last reviewed: October 3, 2026

Information We Collect

The atlas does not require account registration and does not ask readers to submit personal information to browse the map, bestiary, almanac, or policy pages.

Hosting providers may process standard technical logs such as IP address, device type, browser, approximate region, pages requested, timestamps, and error information to keep the site secure and available.

Google Analytics is loaded only after you choose Allow analytics. It may process page views, approximate location, device and referral information. Search terms and URL fragments are excluded from the page address sent to Analytics. Vercel Analytics is not enabled.

If advertising is enabled, advertising providers may also process ad interactions for measurement, fraud prevention, and reporting.

Advertising And Cookies

If Google AdSense is activated, Google and third-party vendors may use cookies or similar technologies to serve ads based on a reader’s prior visits to this site or other websites.

Advertising scripts and advertising consent are disabled in this edition. An AdSense ownership verification tag is present, but it does not load ads. Before advertising is enabled, the owner must configure a certified consent platform where Google requires one and update this policy.

The atlas does not request precise GPS location. If any future feature collects precise location or direct personal information, this policy should be updated before that feature is launched.

Your Choices

Choose Reject analytics to browse without optional tracking. Use Privacy preferences in the footer to change your choice; withdrawal clears Analytics cookies and reloads the page. The choice is stored locally for up to 180 days. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control signals default to rejection.

The map, search, and folios work regardless of the analytics choice. If browser storage is unavailable, the choice applies for the current visit.
